2019 Primitivo

The Primitivo grape, although genetically similar to the Zinfandel variety, demonstrates distinct growth characteristics and thrives in our hot, dry Texas High Plains climate, just as it does in the Puglia region of Italy, its primary growing region. Our medium-bodied red has red cherry and dark chocolate flavors nuanced by aromas of candied plum and vanilla. Our classic Primitivo pairs well with BBQ, pizza, and hard cheeses like Manchego and aged Parmesan.
